My guess for Jim's photo: Iron filings on a magnet?
I broke down and purchased a one year lease on Helicon Focus for my birthday present to myself. I hope to make it to the class by 8-8:30 on friday. below is my first attempt at stacking and rendering.
i find this as enigmatic as Jim's, though I sense small size and close working distance. Looks like stacking is working! I came back for another look and this time I see the face and and figure which eluded me before - they seem obvious now.
